Biography
Brian Stewart is a Republican politician serving as the State Representative for Ohio's 12th House District, encompassing all of Madison and Pickaway counties, and a portion of western Franklin County. He was appointed to the Ohio House of Representatives on January 3, 2023, succeeding Juanita Brent.
Born and raised in southern Ohio, Representative Stewart enlisted in the U.S. Army after the September 11 attacks during his senior year of high school. He served as an infantryman in the Iraq War, earning the Combat Infantryman's Badge and two Army Commendation Medals. After his military service, he pursued higher education, obtaining both his bachelor's and law degrees from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
In addition to his public service, Representative Stewart owns The Law Office of Brian Stewart, LLC, in Circleville, where he represents businesses and individuals across Ohio. He is admitted to practice before the federal U.S. District Courts in Ohio, the Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, the U.S. Tax Court, and has represented clients before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

Throughout his political career, Representative Stewart has focused on fiscal responsibility, economic development, and enhancing government efficiency. He has sponsored legislation to expand broadband access, improve county government operations, and protect student-athletes' rights.
