Biography

Bryan Steil, born on March 3, 1981, in Janesville, Wisconsin, is a Republican politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Wisconsin's 1st Congressional District since 2019. Prior to his congressional tenure, Steil spent over a decade in the manufacturing industry in Southeast Wisconsin, gaining firsthand experience with the challenges posed by federal regulations on economic growth and job creation. In 2016, he was appointed to the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents, where he oversaw 26 campuses and a $6 billion budget, advocating for tuition freezes to ensure affordable education.
