Biography

Greg Stanton, born on March 8, 1970, in Long Island, New York, is a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives, serving Arizona's 4th congressional district since 2023. Prior to this, he represented Arizona's 9th district from 2019 to 2023. Stanton's political career includes serving as the 60th Mayor of Phoenix from 2012 to 2018 and as a member of the Phoenix City Council from 2000 to 2009. As mayor, he led initiatives to expand Phoenix's light rail system and foster economic growth through innovation and trade. In Congress, Stanton focuses on infrastructure, water resources, and economic development.
