Joey Spellerberg

Joey Spellerberg, born March 19, 1990, is the incumbent State Treasurer of Nebraska, appointed by Gov. Jim Pillen and sworn in November 6, 2025. A Fremont native and UAB marketing graduate, he previously served as Mayor of Fremont from 2020 to 2025, where he cut property taxes, boosted public safety, and grew the local economy.
