Biography

Ann Louise Wagner, born on September 13, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri, is a Republican politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Missouri's 2nd Congressional District since 2013. Raised in St. Louis, she worked in her family's retail carpet store, Carpetime, in Manchester, where she learned the values of hard work and integrity. Wagner's district encompasses suburban areas of St. Louis, including parts of St. Louis, St. Charles, and Warren Counties, as well as all of Franklin County.

Before her tenure in Congress, Wagner held several significant positions:

• Chair of the Missouri Republican Party : She was the first woman to hold this position, leading the party to historic gains, including securing majorities in both chambers of the Missouri General Assembly.

• Co-Chair of the Republican National Committee : In this role, she co-chaired the 2004 Republican National Convention and directed initiatives to improve the GOP's outreach to women.

• U.S. Ambassador to Luxembourg : Appointed by President George W. Bush, Wagner served as the 19th U.S. Ambassador to Luxembourg, focusing on strengthening diplomatic relations.

In Congress, Wagner has been a vocal advocate against sex trafficking, authoring significant legislation such as the Stop Advertising Victims of Exploitation Act and the Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act , both aimed at combating online exploitation.

She has also been reappointed to the U.S. delegation of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, where she collaborates with international partners to address global security challenges.
