Elizabeth Ann Warren, born on June 22, 1949, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is a prominent American politician and former law professor. She has served as the senior United States Senator from Massachusetts since January 3, 2013, representing the Democratic Party. Warren is renowned for her advocacy in consumer protection, economic opportunity, and the social safety net. Before her tenure in the Senate, she played a pivotal role in establishing the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and chaired the Congressional Oversight Panel for the Troubled Asset Relief Program .
