Biography

Heath J. Howard, born on May 26, 2000, in Strafford, New Hampshire, is a Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Strafford County District 4, which includes the towns of Strafford and Barrington. He assumed office on December 7, 2022, and serves on the Election Law Committee. Howard is among the youngest state legislators in the United States.

In 2016, Howard experienced a significant personal challenge when he broke his back in an accident at Mount Sunapee, leading to two major surgeries. This experience navigating the healthcare system motivated him to become involved in local politics to advocate for improvements.

Education and Political Experience

  • Graduated from Spaulding High School in 2018.
  • Earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of New Hampshire in 2022.
