Biography
Jason Prokop, a native of Crete, Nebraska, began his term in the Nebraska Legislature representing District 27 on January 8, 2025, succeeding term-limited Senator Anna Wishart. Prior to his legislative service, Prokop was the director of First Five Nebraska, a nonprofit organization dedicated to early childhood care and education. His extensive public policy experience includes roles as a senior advisor to U.S. Senator Ben Nelson, chief of staff for the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, and external affairs manager for the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Prokop resides in Lincoln with his wife, Jennifer, and their two children.
