Biography

Juan Ciscomani, born on August 31, 1982, in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, immigrated to the United States with his family during his childhood, settling in Tucson, Arizona. His father worked as a bus driver, instilling in him the values of hard work and perseverance. Ciscomani became the first in his family to graduate from college, earning degrees from Pima Community College and the University of Arizona. He began his career at the University of Arizona as a program development specialist and later served as Vice President of Outreach for the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. In 2015, he joined Arizona Governor Doug Ducey's administration as Senior Advisor for Regional and International Affairs and Vice Chair of the Arizona-Mexico Commission, focusing on international trade, border security, and economic development. In 2022, Ciscomani was elected to represent Arizona's 6th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, becoming the first naturalized American citizen from Mexico to do so in Arizona's history.
