Marie Gluesenkamp Pérez, born on June 4, 1988, in Harris County, Texas, is a fifth-generation Washingtonian and a member of the Democratic Party. She serves as the U.S. Representative for Washington's 3rd congressional district, a position she has held since January 3, 2023. Before her tenure in Congress, Marie co-owned an auto repair and machine shop with her husband, Dean, in Portland, Oregon. They reside in rural Skamania County, Washington, where they are raising their young son.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Marie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Reed College in 2012.

• Political Experience:

  • Ran for Skamania County Commissioner in 2016 and for Skamania County Public Utility District Commissioner in 2018.
