Biography

Robert "Rob" Dover was appointed to the Nebraska Legislature on July 22, 2022, by Governor Pete Ricketts to represent District 19, succeeding Mike Flood, who resigned after being elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. Born on December 21, 1958, in Norfolk, Nebraska, Dover has been a lifelong resident of the district. He is a member of the Republican Party and has a strong background in real estate and community service.

Education and Political Experience

• Education: Graduated from Norfolk High School in 1977; earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Finance and Spanish from Wayne State College in 1988.

• Professional Experience:

  • President of Coldwell Banker Dover Realtors since 1988.
  • President of Dover Management Company since 2008.
  • Vice President of Whitecliff Development.

• Political Experience:

  • Appointed to the Nebraska Legislature in 2022.
  • Served as a Nebraska Real Estate Commissioner from 2007 to 2013.
