Biography
Senator Tommy Tuberville, born on September 18, 1954, in Camden, Arkansas, is a Republican representing Alabama in the United States Senate. Elected in 2020, he is currently serving his first term. Prior to his political career, Tuberville had a distinguished 40-year tenure as a college football coach, most notably at Auburn University, where he led the Tigers to five Western Division titles and one SEC Championship. In 2004, he was named National Coach of the Year. After retiring from coaching, Tuberville worked as a sports broadcaster for ESPN.
Education and Political Experience
As Chairman of the HELP Subcommittee on Education and the American Family, Senator Tuberville focuses on empowering parents in educational decisions, preserving Title IX protections, opposing certain curricula in schools, and investing in workforce development and job training programs.
