Biography
Brian Lorenz is a Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 60th district, which includes western Delaware County, encompassing the cities of Delaware, Powell, and a portion of Dublin. He was appointed to the House on May 10, 2023, following the passing of former Representative Kris Jordan. Lorenz was sworn into office on May 14, 2023.
Prior to his tenure in the state legislature, Lorenz served as the Mayor of Powell from 2016 to 2017 and was a member of the Powell City Council from 2010 through 2025. Professionally, he has worked as a city and regional planner.
In the community, Lorenz is an active parishioner at St. Mary's in Delaware, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and volunteers at the YMCA. He has also been involved with the Powell Community Improvement Corporation and served on the planning and zoning commission for six years.
Lorenz resides in Powell with his wife, Sue, and their four children: son Henry and triplet daughters Annie, Betsy, and Charlotte.
