Biography
Carolyn B. Maloney is a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives, representing New York's 12th congressional district. She has served in Congress since 1993. Maloney is known for her advocacy on issues including women's rights, financial reform, and government accountability. She has been a strong supporter of consumer protection laws, and she played a key role in the passage of the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, which addresses wage discrimination.
