Christopher Henry Smith, born on March 4, 1953, in Rahway, New Jersey, is a Republican politician serving as the U.S. Representative for New Jersey's 4th Congressional District. Elected in 1980, he is currently in his 23rd term, making him one of the longest-serving members of the House of Representatives. Throughout his tenure, Smith has been a staunch advocate for human rights, veterans' affairs, and health issues. He resides in Manchester, New Jersey, with his wife, Marie.
