About
Biography
Dawn Driscoll is a Republican state senator representing Iowa's 46th District. Born in Annawan, Illinois, she is a sixth-generation farmer and a mother of three. Driscoll has been actively involved in her community, serving as the past president of the Iowa County Farm Bureau and chairing the Ag in the Classroom program in schools and nursing homes. She has also coached volleyball and basketball, taught religious education, and served as a 4-H community leader and preschool board president.
Driscoll was first elected to the Iowa Senate in 2020, representing District 38. Following redistricting, she was re-elected in 2022 to represent District 46, which includes all of Iowa and Washington counties, as well as parts of Johnson County. In the Senate, she has focused on tax reform, agricultural advocacy, and parental rights in education. She supported historic income and property tax relief measures and worked to eliminate the inheritance tax. As chair of the Senate Agriculture Committee, Driscoll has been a strong advocate for Iowa's agricultural community.
