Biography

Eric Wayne Burlison, born on October 2, 1976, in Springfield, Missouri, is a Republican politician representing Missouri's 7th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives since January 3, 2023. Prior to his tenure in Congress, Burlison served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2009 to 2017 and in the Missouri State Senate from 2019 to 2023. He has been recognized for his conservative legislative efforts, including sponsoring and passing Constitutional Carry and Stand Your Ground laws in Missouri.

In his personal life, Burlison enjoys hunting and fishing in the Ozarks. He and his wife, Angie, are active members of Destiny Church in Republic, Missouri, and reside in Battlefield with their two daughters, Reese and Aubrey.
