Biography
Gregory Joseph Pence, born on November 14, 1956, in Columbus, Indiana, is an American businessman and politician who served as the U.S. Representative for Indiana's 6th Congressional District from 2019 to 2025. He is the older brother of former Vice President Mike Pence, who previously held the same congressional seat from 2001 to 2013.
Before his political career, Greg Pence served as a Marine officer from 1979 to 1984, achieving the rank of first lieutenant. After his military service, he worked in the energy distribution industry, holding positions at Kiel Brothers Oil Company, Marathon Oil Corporation, Unocal Corporation, and Circle K Stores, Inc.
In January 2024, Pence announced he would not seek reelection for a fourth term in Congress.
