Biography
Jeffrey Darren Duncan, born on January 7, 1966, in Greenville, South Carolina, is an American politician who served as the U.S. Representative for South Carolina's 3rd congressional district from 2011 to 2025. A member of the Republican Party, Duncan was known for his advocacy of free markets, individual liberties, and limited government. He was a member of the House Freedom Caucus, the Pro-Life Caucus, and the Republican Study Committee, where he worked to promote conservative policies. Duncan was also recognized for his commitment to American energy dominance, supporting an all-of-the-above approach to energy production, including nuclear energy and offshore exploration. He received several awards during his tenure, including the Freedom Fighter Award, Friend of the Farm Bureau, National Security Patriot Award, Guardian of Small Business, Hero of Main Street, Taxpayer’s Hero, and the prestigious Order of the Palmetto awarded by the Governor of South Carolina.
