Biography
Rob Bresnahan Jr., born on April 22, 1990, in Kingston, Pennsylvania, is a dedicated businessman and politician representing Pennsylvania's 8th Congressional District. Raised in Wyoming Borough and Hughestown, he became involved in his family's electrical contracting business, Kuharchik Construction, at a young age. Starting as a floor sweeper at 10, he advanced to Chief Financial Officer by 19 and assumed the role of CEO after college. Under his leadership, the company expanded to over 150 employees. In 2023, he partnered Kuharchik Construction with Midwestern Electric near Chicago, Illinois. Bresnahan also founded RPB Ventures, focusing on revitalizing historic buildings in Downtown Pittston, Pennsylvania.
In the 2024 general election, Bresnahan, a Republican, unseated incumbent Democrat Matt Cartwright, marking a significant political shift in the district. He was sworn into the 119th Congress on January 3, 2025, and serves on the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, the House Committee on Agriculture, and the House Committee on Small Business.
