Biography
Stephanie Barnard, a Republican, has been serving as the State Representative for Washington's 8th Legislative District since January 9, 2023. Born and raised in Washington, she has resided in the Tri-Cities area for over 30 years. Prior to her legislative role, Barnard was the head of government affairs for the Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce, where she led advocacy efforts through the Local Government Affairs Committee and the Tri-Cities Legislative Council. She also founded the ANGELS Network, a nonprofit organization providing resources to low-income parents, and served on the Board of Directors for the Boy Scouts of America. As a Republican leader, she held various positions within the Franklin County Republican Party and was a national delegate at the Republican National Convention. Barnard is a mother of six and an accomplished marathon runner, currently residing in Pasco with her two teenage children.
