Biography
Tim Ryan is an American politician who served as a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Ohio for two decades, representing the 17th district from 2003 to 2013 and the 13th district from 2013 to 2023. Born on July 16, 1973, in Niles, Ohio, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Bowling Green State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of New Hampshire School of Law. Before his congressional tenure, Ryan served in the Ohio State Senate from 2001 to 2002. In 2022, he was the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate seat in Ohio but was defeated by Republican J.D. Vance.
