Biography
Clay Higgins is a Republican representative for Louisiana’s 3rd congressional district in the United States House of Representatives. First elected in 2016, Higgins is known for his outspoken, often blunt style and his strong support of conservative legislation. Prior to his congressional service, Higgins built a reputation as “the Cajun John Wayne” through viral videos recorded as a law enforcement officer. He is an advocate for border security, veterans' issues, and Second Amendment rights. He has served on various House committees, including Homeland Security.
